Folding and Evolution of a Repeat Protein on the Ribosome
Biophysics of Co-Translational Protein Folding
In our research group we study molecular evolution patterns
of the ribosome and the proteins it produces to understand the interaction between the factory and the products. In addition, we apply what we learn to modify the ribosome to produce better proteins. We use cell-free expression systems and traditional recombinant systems like E. coli. to test our assumptions. We study molecular evolution to design improved biomolecules and biological systems.
